Printed Resources for Legal Research

This section describes how UK and EU case law and legislation is structured in the books. This is important background information for Unit 2, which is a practical activity using law books to find answers to legal questions. Many experienced lawyers and legal researchers believe that familiarity with how law books are structured will help students be more efficient when using the databases.

The Unit 2 practical class is a 2-hour session in Weeks 1-5 of Hilary Term. Please revise the Overview and read through the Unit 2 Introduction before you come to this class.
