The relationship between private and public enforcement in EU Competition Law

The Competition/EU law discussion group will host a talk by Dr Assimakis Komninos, White & Case LLP, who will discuss the relationship between private and public enforcement in EU Competition Law. The meeting will take place on Wednesday the 2nd of November (week 4) at the Cube at 13:00 (sandwiches available from 12:30)


 
The interrelationship between Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law

The Study Group on the interrelationship between Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law will hold its first meeting of this term on May 4, Wednesday, at 12.30, at the Global Economic Governance building (Merton Street 12, meeting room on the ground floor). The topic of the first meeting is "Criteria for compulsory licenses under EU competition law", and the debate will be led by Viktoria Robertson. The cases to be discussed are Magill (TV listings), IMS Health (brick structure) and Microsoft (work server interoperability).

CCLP joins the UNCTAD Research Partnership Platform

The CCLP has joined the UNCTAD Research Partnership Platform (RPP). The Research Partnership Platform aims to strengthen the impact of UNCTAD's activities through joint research and capacity building programmes.


 
Study Group on Competition Law and Intellectual Property Rights

The Group is dedicated to the study of the interrelated aspects between Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law, focusing the debate on relevant cases, papers, research projects and current issues in these fields. A different topic is discussed in each of the meetings, which take place at the Global Economic Governance Programme building (Merton St. 12).

 

The discussion in HT will focus on: abuse of dominance and parallel trade in the EU, copyrights remedies and competition law, and sham litigation.
